Top 5 Things To Do in November 2017

As winter draws ever closer, find out how to fill your diaries with the top five things to do in November 2017. From Bonfire Night celebrations to rooftop saunas, discover the must-do events that we’re looking forward to the most this month.

1. Find your zen in the Southbank Centre’s rooftop sauna

This season sees London’s Southbank Centre celebrate all things Nordic, with a Finnish sauna nestled in its rooftop. A haven of relaxation in a hub of commuters, this authentic experience provides a demonstration of steaming stones, and exclusive views of the Thames. Book a 70-minute session here, and visit the Garden Bar afterwards for Prosecco, warming drinks and snacks.

2. Indulge in sweet treats at ChocFest

That’s right – a food festival wholly devoted to chocolate will take place in Melton Mowbray on the 18th-19th November. With a line-up of talks, tastings, demonstrations and, of course, stalls of delicious treats to take away, ChocFest is the perfect place for a little indulgence. Take the opportunity to snap up some Christmas gifts, too.

3. Watch Murder on the Orient Express

An all-star cast – and we really mean all-star – gives Agatha Christie’s mystery a fresh feel in the remake of Murder on the Orient Express. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, who also plays super-sleuth Hercule Poirot, this whodunnit boasts Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Michelle Pfeiffer and Olivia Colman among its suspects. Showing in cinemas from November 3rd.

4. Experience a Bonfire Night like no other in Lewes

Renowned for its incredible processions, Lewes’ Bonfire Night is a truly unique experience – and one of the last remaining traditional Guy Fawkes celebrations in the country. Watch in awe as people march through the town and end up at one of multiple fire sites on Saturday 4th November. Please note the event is not suitable for children. More info here.

5. Get in the Christmas spirit at Winter Wonderland

A must-visit for tourists and Londoners alike, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland is arguably a hallmark of the festive season. Take a twirl around its ice rink, or seek your thrills from its many funfair rides and a big wheel that overlooks all the magic. Feast on Bratwursts aplenty, and visit the Bavarian village for steins, mulled wine and entertainment. 17th November-1st January.
