The Nutcracker Edit: Outfits Inspired by the Four Realms

Ready for an adventure? In celebration of the release of Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, we’ve created a spellbinding edit of our favourite playtime and party outfits, each inspired by one of the mystical lands from the film. From snowflakes and sweets, to flowers and faraway kingdoms, here’s what little ones will love to wear as they embark on their very own fairy tale…

1.The Land of Snowflakes

First stop, the Land of Snowflakes. Full of sparkle, magic and enchantment, this winter wonderland is ruled by the Snow Queen (who else?) and is the perfect place to start feeling festive. So whether you’re wrapping gifts or playing in the snow, these all-white dresses with hand-embellished beads and sequins make the loveliest choice – wear with a faux fur jacket and a pair of glittering gold shoes.

2. The Land of Flowers

Things are all abloom in the Land of Flowers, with its blossom-covered cottages and pretty, petal-filled streets. Want to blend in with your surroundings? Pick a party dress with 3D rosettes scattered across its soft pink skirt, and top it off with matching ballerina shoes, plus a cute white cardigan – great for keeping the winter chill off little shoulders.

3. The Land of Sweets

Ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Land of Sweets is filled to the brim with candy canes, cakes and all things scrumptious – meaning it’s just as wonderful as you might expect. Curb your confectionery cravings in a striped sweater dress with a whole bag of appliquéd treats, or pick and mix with sparkly doughnut tees, sweet-covered skirts and glitter-sprinkled trainers.

4. The Fourth Realm

Home to the tyrant Mother Ginger, and shrouded in darkness and mystery, The Fourth Realm is only for the brave. Join the battle against the baddies in awesome outwear that’ll keep you guarded from the elements – think military coats for boys and girls, covered with crest-like buttons and ribbon bows in classic colours of navy and grey. And as for the rest? Stick to the style regulations in cosy knits with soldier intarsias, side-striped basics, plus shoes and accessories in bold, bright red.
